To calculate the Grade Point Average (GPA) for a specific semester at the University of The Punjab, the process involves multiplying the Grade Point by the respective credit hours for each course. This results in the accumulation of total grade points. Subsequently, these total grade points are summed up to yield the Cumulative Grade Points. To obtain the GPA for the semester, this cumulative value is then divided by the total number of credit hours across all courses.
For the computation of the final Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) within the University of The Punjab, a comprehensive approach is taken. The Cumulative Grade Points earned across all semesters are aggregated to establish an overall total. This grand total is subsequently divided by the cumulative credit hours encompassing all the courses undertaken. Through this calculation, the resulting value accurately reflects the candidate's cumulative grade point average (CGPA) achieved throughout their academic journey.
